Guy Fawkes was a guy that in 1605 tried to blow up the Houses of
Parliament. he disagreed with the protestant king James I. he wanted a
Catholic king on theThrone.
He put 36 gunpowder barrels in the cellar under the Houses of Parliament.
A traitor sent him the police.
He was arrested and put into prison for life.
That was on the 5th of November.
People celebrate it afeter school or work. They light bonfires, burn a Guy Fawkes man and eat toffee apples and roast potatoes.
